Dominic started working in a small local accountancy practice based in the countryside outside Dungannon in 2001 at the age of sixteen, learning the basics of accounts and Vat preparation.
He stayed in this firm part time during school holidays until he graduated from University of Ulster with a BsC Hons in Accounting.
Following graduation in Autumn 2007 he started working in a medium/large sized accountancy practice in Omagh and the following year he commenced training contract in order to obtain his Chartered Accountant’s qualification. During this time he gained vast experience with every aspect of business, from small sole traders and farmers etc to large companies and groups of companies, and everything in-between.
Dominic successfully completed his training and examinations, and in Autumn 2013 he was accepted into membership of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
In Autumn 2014 Dominic moved to a medium sized accountancy practice based in Dungannon, gaining valuable experience and expertise with various clients. It was a dream of his to have his own accountancy practice since he was a teenager, he finally set up his own accountancy practice in March 2017 called Dominic Rafferty & Co Ltd.
